4) Smoobu (our booking engine)

When you view Pricing & Availability or start a booking, content is loaded from Smoobu. Smoobu may set essential cookies (for security, session, language) and—depending on your consent—analytics/functional cookies to operate the booking process. Example: the booking iframe URL is served from login.smoobu.com and may store session and preference cookies needed to display availability and complete requests.

5) Optional third-party tools we may use

These cookies are only set if enabled and, where required, after you give consent via our banner.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

Cookies: _ga (2 years), _ga_* (2 years), _gid (24 hours) – used to distinguish users and sessions.
Purpose: measure how visitors use the site so we can improve content and layout.

Meta (Facebook) Pixel

Cookies/parameters: may include _fbp (3 months) and, after ad clicks, _fbc (as documented by Meta).
Purpose: measure ad performance and build audiences, if we run Meta ads.

(If we embed other services like YouTube/Vimeo/Maps or social feeds, those providers may set their own cookies when you view those sections.)

6) Managing your cookie preferences

On this site: Our cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clearing cookies in your browser and revisiting the site, or (if present) using the Cookie Settings link in the footer/banners. In your browser: You can block or delete cookies via your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site (including booking) may not work properly.

7) Data retention

Cookie lifetimes are shown above; analytics tools may also have separate data-retention controls inside their dashboards. (For example, GA4 has configurable retention, and browsers increasingly limit cookie lifetimes.)
